Peer Review Process

ISYARAH: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa Arab dan Sastra Arab employs a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process involving authors, editors, section editors, and reviewers to ensure the quality and integrity of published manuscripts while maintaining the confidentiality of all parties.

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editor to assess its relevance to the journal's aims and scope, as well as its compliance with the journal's submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements are returned to the authors without proceeding to peer review. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers for evaluation.

The reviewers assess the manuscript based on its originality, scientific merit, methodological soundness, significance, clarity, and overall contribution to the fields of Arabic Language Education and Arabic Literature, following the criteria specified in the Reviewer Article Assessment Form. The peer-review process generally takes approximately 5 days.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor makes one of the following decisions: accept, accept with minor revisions, major revisions required, or reject. Authors are expected to revise and resubmit their manuscripts when revisions are requested. The final publication decision is made by the editor after considering the reviewers' comments and the authors' responses.

Under normal circumstances, authors can expect to receive the first editorial decision within approximately 4 weeks of manuscript submission.
