THE ROLE OF KUA MENDAHARA IN THE PREVENTION AND HANDLING OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES RELATED TO ALIMONY ISSUES

This type of research is field research, which is located in Mendahara District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency. The method used in this study is a qualitative analysis research method. Data sources were obtained through interviews and documentation studies as well as literature related to the research topic. The problem studied in this study is that the phenomenon of rampant domestic violence in Mendahara District, East Tanjung Jabung Regency. This is not only a violation of the law but also causes various problems in the community. to find out the role of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) in handling the prevention and cases of domestic violence related to the problem of livelihood in Mendahara Ilir village. Domestic violence (KDRT) related to the issue of living is a serious problem that is rampant. This study aims to analyze the role of the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) in preventing the occurrence of domestic violence. (KUA Mendahara), this study found that KUA has great potential in preventing domestic violence through socialization of religious values about gender equality, pre-marital counseling, and the formation of networks with related institutions. However, obstacles such as limited resources and lack of public awareness are challenges in themselves. This study concludes that there is a need to strengthen the capacity of KUA officers, integrate programs with other institutions, and provide more comprehensive policy support to increase the effectiveness of the role of KUA in preventing domestic violence related to livelihood.
