About the Journal
Community service (PkM) is one of the pillars of higher education’s Tri Dharma, aimed at applying knowledge and technology to address social, economic, and environmental issues faced by communities. Through a participatory approach, PkM activities involve the community in every stage, from planning to evaluation, utilizing various methods such as training, workshops, and outreach programs. The outcomes of PkM often include enhanced community capacity and knowledge, as well as improved access to resources, although challenges such as limited resources and cultural differences can hinder implementation. Active involvement from all parties, including academics, communities, and government, is essential to achieve sustainable goals and create a positive impact on community life.
