About the Journal

JBSI (Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris) is an open-access and peer-reviewed journal published by Yayasan Almushtofa Cendikia Nusantara. The journal focuses on the publication of scholarly articles in the fields of English language, linguistics, literature, and English language teaching and learning (ELT/TEFL).

JBSI seeks to connect the everyday concerns of researchers, educators, and practitioners with insights from relevant academic disciplines such as applied linguistics, education, cultural studies, and literary criticism. The journal aims to foster the dissemination of scientific information and to promote innovation in methodologies, critical analysis, and interdisciplinary approaches within the fields of English language and literature studies.

Articles published in JBSI cover a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • English linguistics (phonology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, discourse, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics)

  • English Language Teaching (ELT), curriculum design, assessment, teaching strategies, and educational technology

  • English literature (poetry, prose, drama, comparative literature, cultural studies, feminism, postcolonialism, ecocriticism)

  • Translation studies and interdisciplinary perspectives

This journal is published three times a year (October, January, May) and welcomes contributions from national and international scholars.
